Today is my favorite day of the year! It is the start of Autumn, and the start of Libra Season.
I love Autumn. If Spring is when you first meet someone, and Summer is when you get to know them, Autumn is when you fall in love. That’s why they call it Fall.
My Birthday is September 28, so astrologically, I am a Libra. I like learning more and more about astrology. In fact, the equinox involves astrology, too. The word equinox means “equal night” implying that the day hours are equal to the night hours on this day. This is not completely true, but it is close. It is not very easy to understand. As soon as I learn something about it and it starts to make sense, I read something else that makes me question everything all over again.
The Autumnal Equinox is not actually a day at all. It is but a moment! The moment the sun crosses the celestial equator from the Northern Hemisphere to the Southern Hemisphere. Do you know how the Southern Hemisphere is hot during Christmastime? As we transition into snowy, sweater weather, they are getting ready for pool parties. And it all starts right… Now!
Happy Equinox, everybody!
